Doreen Grochowski (born Doreen Meiklokjes Stærbo , * 1. August 1974 in Potsdam as Doreen Grochowski ) is a German television presenter .

Life

After childhood and finishing secondary school in the Am Stern residential area in Potsdam, she learned the profession of a display designer . In the summer of 1996 she started as a presenter for the television music channel VIVA . From October 1999 to October 2001 she was the presenter of Bravo TV on RTL 2 . Since October 2001 she has been working as a freelancer for various television stations ( ARD , ZDF , Arte , Sat.1 , RTL , VOX ) and collaborates on radio play productions , TV dubbing and event moderation. She also played a few smaller roles in series, television films (including Beloved Sisters or Moving Men ) as well as in commercials (including IKEA and T-Online ). Van de Meiklokjes moderated the morning show Weck Up on Sat.1 until May 2005 . She moderated the women's magazine Lola on ARTE from January 2003 until it was discontinued at the end of 2006. From 2004 to 2006 she gave handicraft tips in the ZDF children's magazine PuR . From 2004 to 2009 she was in the renovation program Wohnen nach Wunsch - A Duo for Four Walls on VOX. In SWR television , she hosted the 2009/2010 four-part series Never again no idea! Painting , in which works of painting were explained for laypeople, and in 2011 the three-part series Never again no idea! Architecture . At the beginning of October 2012, Sweet & Easy - Enie backt , started with ten episodes , a baking show on the special interest broadcaster sixx . From the end of February to the beginning of June 2013 sixx broadcast the second season of the baking show, in which various celebrities (e.g. Ruth Moschner and Wigald Boning ) were presented as baking experts. Since 2012 van de Meiklokjes has been part of the advice team of the SWR show Masters of Everyday Life . In the revised version of the VOX format Kocharena called Grill den Henssler , which was first broadcast on September 29, 2013 , she appeared as a juror. In 2018 she commented on the documentary soap Our very best Christmas on Sat.1 .

In 2000 van de Meiklokjes released the single Daba Daba Dab , a cover version of the 1966 classic Un Homme Et Une Femme from the film of the same name . Other singles were Comme Ci, Comme Ça (2001) and Baby Elephant Walk (1998). Furthermore, van de Meiklokjes published the single Spiel mit mir under the pseudonym Baby Doll in 1996 , but it was not a success. Since 2007 van de Meiklokjes has been the ambassador of the German Children's Fund . a. participates in various campaigns (e.g. “A meal for every child”) and also campaigns for the rights of children and young people to be anchored in the Basic Law .

In October 2011, Tetra Verlag published the book Enies Aquariengeschichten , in which the passionate aquarist wrote cheerful and personally experienced stories from the underwater world, her debut as an author. From 2013 to 2014 she was on the jury at Grill den Henssler . From 2014 to 2016 she moderated and since 2018 she has moderated on Sat.1 Das große Backen .

In June 2014 she married the Danish musician Tobias Stærbo in Copenhagen. Since June 14, 2017, the two parents of twins.
