history

The beginnings of publishing go back to the 1960s. The first publications were created under the pen of Ulrich Baensch , the founder of Tetra GmbH , and Hans Frey.

At that time, the pioneer of the TI magazine , today 's specialist aquarium magazine , was called Wasserflohpost . In the following years the publishing house grew with its print products. More than 100 books in 12 languages were produced under the patronage of Tetra, and TI magazine has since been published under several licenses. In addition, calendars were produced in large numbers.

Since December 1997 Tetra Verlag GmbH has embarked on a new development. It is a GmbH managed by Hans-Joachim Herrmann , acting independently of the former owner, which has taken over all book titles, calendars and the specialist aquarium magazine with all rights.
