Hartmut Greven

Hartmut Greven (born November 25, 1942 in Neustadt in Upper Silesia ) is a German biologist and zoologist .

Greven was after his biology degree in 1971 with a thesis on faunistic and ecological and functional-tests on domestic tardigrades at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster doctorate , where he in 1978 habilitated . He is University Professor for Zoomorphology at the Institute for Zoomorphology , Cell Biology and Parasitology at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf .

Until 2013 he was President of the Society for Ichthyology , which u. a. publishes a digital fish species atlas of Germany and Austria.

He has been a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. since 1962 . Alemannia Greifswald and Münster in the Cartell Association (CV) . Later he became a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Burgundia (Leipzig) Düsseldorf in the CV.
