The three-cushion world championship in 1990 was the 45th edition of the three-cushion world championship, which has been held in the three- cushion pile-up variant since 1928 .

Tournament details

In 1990 it took place in the form of six World Cup tournaments . It was the World Cup in

  1. Antwerp (Belgium) 2-4. November,
  2. Paris (France) 16.-18. November,
  3. Berlin (Germany) 23-25. November,
  4. Norrköping (Sweden) November 29th - December 2nd,
  5. Palma (Spain) 7th-9th December
  6. and the final in Tokyo (Japan) 14. – 16. December.

A total of 65 three-cushion players started in the 6 tournaments.

With 6,000, most of the spectators were in Paris. A total of 12,800 spectators attended the tournaments.

World ranking points were awarded for the tournaments (see points key). The best point from all tournaments was the new world champion. The clear winner in 1990 was the Belgian series world champion Raymond Ceulemans with 270 points . His compatriot, mentor and last year's winner Ludo Dielis came in third.
