The three-cushion world championship 1995 took place from October 27 to 29, 1995 in the Dutch town of Grubbenvorst (municipality of Horst aan de Maas , province of Limburg ). It was the sixth three-cushion World Cup in the Netherlands.

history

Since there were still differences between the Union Mondiale de Billard (UMB) and the Billiards Worldcup Association (BWA), no BWA players took part in the World Cup. The Belgian Jozef Philipoom secured his first world title with a convincing performance. The Japanese Nobuaki Kobayashi won his last World Cup medal. Since 1970 he has been an almost regular participant in three-cushion world championships and was able to win a total of 16 medals for Japan. During the time when Raymond Ceulemans dominated the three-band scene, Kobayashi was able to win two gold medals and ten silver medals.

mode

The tournament was played with 32 participants. For the first time a world championship was carried out entirely in knockout mode. All games went over three sets of 15 points each.
