history
The international art push association CIBA has been organizing this world championship since 1937. Before that, there was a “pre-World Cup” called the Concours International de Fantasie Classique , which was held six times from 1931 to 1936. The first winner was the Portuguese Alfredo Ferraz ahead of Edmond Soussa from Egypt.
mode
In 1931 the percentage (figures ÷ experiments) was evaluated. All given figures had to be solved. Until 1990 the points obtained were evaluated. Then the sentence system was used. Since 2002 it has only been rated according to percentages. The percentage indicates how many figures have been solved.
