Schelle is a Belgian municipality in the Flanders region with 8518 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019). It is located on the southern edge of the Antwerp agglomeration at the confluence of the Rupel and the Scheldt .

The city center of Antwerp is 11 kilometers north, Mechelen 14 km southeast and Brussels about 30 km south.

The next motorway exits are at Kontich , Slijkhoek and Rumst on the A1 / E 19 . In Niel , Hemiksem are the next and Kontich regional stations and in Antwerp and Mechelen keep on regional express trains. The Antwerp International Airport is the nearest regional airport and Brussels National near the capital Brussels is an airport of international importance.
