Beerse is a municipality in the province of Antwerp in Flanders , Belgium . The municipality of Beerse consists of the districts Beerse and Vlimmeren. On January 1, 2019, Beerse had 18,084 inhabitants. The municipality covers 37.48 km². The population density is 482 inhabitants per km².

The research center of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development and the headquarters of Janssen Pharmaceutica , one of the largest and most valued employers in Belgium, are located in Beerse .
