Edegem is a Belgian municipality in the Flanders region in the Antwerp area with 22,063 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019).
An important building is the Basilica of Our Lady of Lourdes from 1933.
Antwerp city center is 6 kilometers north and Brussels around 35 km south.
The next motorway exits are at Slijkhoek and Kontich on the A1 / E 19 . In Mortsel are the next and Kontich regional stations and in Antwerp also hold about regional express trains. Antwerp Airport, just 5 km away, is the nearest regional airport and Brussels National Airport, near the capital Brussels, is an airport of international importance.
