Kasterlee is a Belgian municipality in the Flanders region with 18,655 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019). It consists of the main town and the two districts of Lichtaart and Tielen .

Turnhout is eight kilometers to the north, Antwerp 38 kilometers to the west and Brussels about 60 kilometers to the southwest.

The next motorway exits are in the north at Turnhout on the A21 / E 34 and in the south at Geel on the A13 / E 313 .

The community has a regional train station in the district of Tielen on the Turnhout– Herentals railway line , with others in Turnhout, Geel and Herentals, among others.

The Antwerp International Airport and the airport in the Dutch city Eindhoven are the next regional airports and the airport Brussels National near the capital Brussels is an airport of international importance. The municipality of Plaffeien ( Switzerland ) is a partner municipality of Kasterlee.
