Laakdal is a Belgian municipality in the Flanders region with 16,101 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019). It is located south of the Albert Canal and consists of the districts of Eindhout , Varendonk , Veerle and Vorst .

Turnhout is about 26 kilometers north, Antwerp 45 kilometers northwest and Brussels about 52 kilometers southwest.

The next motorway exits are at Geel and Ham on the A13 / E 313 .

In Herentals , Geel Diest and Aarschot are the next regional stations .

The Antwerp International Airport is the nearest regional airport and the Brussels National Airport near the capital is of international importance.
