Aartselaar is a municipality with 14,293 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) in the province of Antwerp ( Flanders region ) in Belgium . It is located in the Antwerp area around 10 kilometers south of the city center. The windmill (Heimolen) built here in 1801 and the memorial Rik Van Steenbergen cycling race, which has been held since 1991, are well known .
