Boechout is a Belgian municipality in the province of Antwerp. It borders the municipalities of Mortsel , Borsbeek , Wommelgem , Ranst , Lier and Hove . In 1977 Boechout was merged with Vremde . The Sfinks folklore festival takes place in Boechout every year .
