The European pentathlon championship has been held since 1954 in the carom variant pentathlon (an all-around competition with the disciplines free party , binding , three-cushion and two different cadre variants). It was organized by the European carom billiards association CEB ( Confédération Européenne de Billard ).
History and modes

It was played in the disciplines Free Part, Cadre 47/2, Einband, Cadre 71/2 and Three Cushion (in that order). From 1977 to 1980 the discipline Cadre 47/2 was exchanged for Cadre 47/1.
Game distances
