The three-cushion world championship in 1932 was the fifth tournament in this discipline of carom and took place from June 1st to 5th, 1932 in Vichy .

history

The 1930 world champion, Henk Robijns from the Netherlands, took part again in the tournament and became world champion for the second time. Since both Robijns and the Spaniard Claudio Puigvert had 12-2 points at the end of the final round, a playoff game had to be played for the title. Robijns clearly won with 50:26 in 59 shots. The defending champion Enrique Miró from Spain was only last in the final round. For the first time in the history of the Three Cushion World Championships, players were able to finish games with an average of over 1,000. The Spaniard Claudio Puigvert set the new world record with 50 points in 44 shots. Played in the game against fellow countryman Miró. That gave a BED of 1.136 . The Egyptian world champion of 1928 and 1929, Edmond Soussa , could only take fifth place in the end. The only German participant Otto Unshelm was the last to drop out of Group B after the group stage. The Swiss Alfred Aeberhard took third place behind Puigvert.
