Hendricus "Henk" Jacobs Robijns (born November 17, 1883 in Neu-Amstel , † October 15, 1959 in Amsterdam ) was a Dutch carambola player and multiple world and runner-up European three-cushion champion .

Career

Robins first learned the game in the cadre . In 1912 he became Dutch champion “2. Class "in Cadre 45/2, a year later he repeated this in the" 1. Class". In 1928 he switched permanently to three cushion, where he was Dutch champion the previous year. In 1930 he won his first three-cushion world title in front of a home crowd in Amsterdam. Robins was able to repeat the title in Vichy in 1932 and in Cairo in 1933 . After his third World Cup he withdrew from the competition, took part in the World Cup for the last time in 1936, but was only sixth ahead of August Tiedtke . Robins was the Dutch three-cushion champion for seven consecutive years from 1927 to 1933. In 1932 he also won the title of Vice European Champion.

Robins was a diamond dealer by trade. The Koninklijke Nederlandse Biljartbond (KNBB) made him an honorary member.

He died in 1959 at the age of 75. He was buried in the Zorgvlied cemetery in Amsterdam.
