Jozef Philipoom (born May 27, 1964 ) is a Belgian carambola player, world and European champion.

Career

Philipoom plays in the disciplines of binding and three-cushion . He was already a successful player on a national level when he achieved a double success internationally in 1995. First in September at the three-cushion European championship in Prague with the gold medal in three-cushion, then in October again three- cushion gold at the three- cushion world championship in Grubbenvorst, the Netherlands . In 2002 he became Belgian champion when he defeated Frédéric Caudron in the final, while Roland Forthomme came in third . In 2009 a silver medal was added. In January of that year he also won silver for the first time in the three- cushion World Cup in Sluiskil , Netherlands , and then gold in December in Hurghada, Egypt . In 2010 Philipoom was able to win the Belgian three-cushion crown again, this time at the team championships with his club "BC Deurne". In April 2016 Philipoom won the Dutch Cup final with “De Distel”.
