occupation

Moving Men was a German sitcom based on Ralf Koenig's comic and the subsequent film The Moving Man by Sönke Wortmann . König himself was neither involved in the project in terms of content nor financially and clearly distances himself from the resulting sitcom, which he finds “terribly bad” and anti-gay . The series was nominated for the German Television Award for best sitcom in 2003 and 2004 .

content

Moving Men tells the story of a friendship between two very different individuals, Norbert and Axel. Similar to love, which nobody knows where it will fall, so is their friendship. If only it weren't for a little problem: Norbert is gay, Axel is straight. Norbert's secret crushes for Axel and his obvious advances make life in the shared apartment, which both live in, both varied and turbulent. Together with their equally diverse circle of friends, Norbert and Axel repeatedly find themselves in hair-raising and crazy situations.

main characters

  • The straight Axel, who fell in love with the bar owner Doro.
  • Norbert
  • Doro, the owner of the men's favorite pub.
  • Walter (called Waltraud), the queen and male femininity of the flat share.
  • Frank, policeman and Waltraud's lover.
  • Norbert's mother, who is constantly trying to fish a woman for her son because he has not told her about his homosexuality for a long time.
  • Doro's best friend Trixi, who secretly starts an affair with Axel.
  • From season 2: Rebecca, with whom Norbert involuntarily has a child.
