Ruth Isabel Moschner (born April 11, 1976 in Munich ) is a German television presenter , actress and writer .

life and career

Beginnings

Ruth Moschner had her first TV appearance at the age of ten in the show Aktenzeichen XY ... unsolved . She also took ballet lessons , which helped her to obtain a scholarship from the Heinz Bosl Foundation. However, she had to end her ballet career for health reasons and then concentrated on supporting roles at the National Theater in Munich . After graduating from high school and discontinued training as a bank clerk , she began an internship at the Energy Munich radio station . This was followed by an internship and traineeship at the regional television broadcaster TV Munich , which was followed by the moderation of various programs. In 1997 she moved to TV Berlin , where she worked as a presenter, editor and producer.

In 2000 she took part in the casting for the show Freitag Nacht News ( RTL ), which she hosted from September 2000 to June 2005 together with her former TV Munich colleague Henry Gründler . Since then, she has also had several short appearances in RTL series such as Alarm for Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei , Das Amt or Behind Bars - Der Frauenknast .

At the end of 2003, Moschner co-hosted the first season of Reklame! of the transmitter cable one . From March 2, 2004 to May 29, 2005, she hosted Big Brother on RTL II . In 2005 she shot a parody of the show Die Super Nanny with Bernd dem Brot for the KiKA series Chili TV . On June 3, 2005, her last appearance was as co-host of the Friday Night News program .

2006-2010

Since 2005, Moschner has been shooting some skits with Hans Werner Olm for his show Olm on the go , which ran on ProSieben from January 15, 2006 . In February 2006 she founded the Ruth tut gut e. V. This has set itself the goal of closing the gap between school and training. It gives young people the opportunity to find out about their education and training opportunities after school. In the autumn of the same year, she took part in the RTL show Dancing on Ice (she won first place) with the British figure skater Carl Briggs and in November in the VOX cookery show The Perfect Celebrity Dinner .

In February 2007 she took on the role of an alcoholic pilot in the RTL film African Race - The Crazy Hunt for the Marakunda . The film aired on January 1, 2008. On June 30, 2007, she and her dance partner Sergey Pluyta fought for the German place in the Eurovision Dance Contest 2007 on the show The Great Summer Festival of Folk Music , in which she had to admit defeat to Wolke Hegenbarth with 44 percent of the votes (49 percent ). In the RTL casting show Das Supertalent , she was on the jury from October 20, 2007 to November 3, 2007, alongside Dieter Bohlen and André Sarrasani . From December 2007 to 2009 she had her own clip show on Comedy Central Germany with the title Totally Funny - The Best Clips with Ruth Moschner . She moderated this together with her three “neighbors” Vanessa, Peggy and Gisela, who are all embodied by herself. At the beginning of 2009 she played a guest role in the music video for the title Brainwash by Kool Savas and was also seen in two episodes of the ZDF Soap Path to Happiness . From 2010 to 2013 she moderated at hr-fernsehen Das Schlagerrad . From October 2010 to December 2013 she was on the moderation team for the MDR talk show Riverboat .

At the beginning of February 2011 she won the Sat.1 Winter Games of the Stars together with Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht . In May 2011 she was also seen as a guest in the soap Anna und die Liebe on Sat.1. In June of the same year she took over from Andrea Ballschuh the moderation of the weekly mornings show Die Ärzte - der Medizintalk on ZDF with Joe Bausch and other doctors alternating.

In April 2014 she took over the moderation of the VOX program Grill den Henssler from Jochen Schropp , which she moderated until the end of 2018. In November 2015, she and Steffen Henssler received the audience Bambi for this show. In 2016 she hosted the TV show Ewige Helden at Vox , in which ten former professional athletes competed against each other in 20 different disciplines. From February 2017, she hosted the program So tickt der Mensch , which was broadcast on Sat.1. In July 2019, she took part in the ProSieben program The Masked Singer as part of the advice group, which she continued in March 2020. In October 2006, Moschner's first book Sweet Fairy Tales was published - or how I nibble happily , a mixture of praline recipes and fairy tales. In April 2008 her second book, a novel, was published with the title Vollblondige Businen . Her third book has been on the market since March 2009, again a novel with the title Big Boobs . Her fourth book was published in February 2011, a non-fiction book about chocolate with the title The Chocolate Diet . Baking for Showers followed in October 2012 as the fifth book .
