You never think of it! is a quiz show moderated by Johannes B. Kerner .

Broadcast dates

The broadcast date of the first episode was June 1, 2017 at 8:15 p.m. on ZDF . The first five episodes had a slot on Thursday, from episode 6 on Wednesday became the broadcast date, with the exception of the 2019 summer vacation period, during which the episodes were broadcast on Saturdays in the evening program. With the 4th season, which was recorded without an audience due to the coronavirus pandemic , they returned to the broadcast slot on Saturday evening.

Game flow

There are two celebrity teams of three players each in each episode. In eight rounds, two questions are asked, each with three possible answers. In each round, the potential win and the difficulty increase. The team that has more money in the game account in the end is the winner and receives the winnings for a predetermined charitable purpose. In the event of a tie, both teams win. In the eve edition, only five rounds are played.

The program with the highest ratings was the 18th edition for total audiences aged 3 and over (3.98 million viewers), the 6th edition for the target group between 14 and 49 years of age (0.89 million viewers). The first edition had the highest market share in a group of viewers with 14.0 percent (viewers aged 3 and over) and the third edition with 8.8 percent (viewers between 14 and 49).

The sixth edition was the weakest show in three respects: It had the fewest viewers aged three and over (2.71 million), the smallest overall market share (11.1 percent) and the lowest market share in the advertising-relevant target group (5.0 percent) . Only the number of viewers in this target group (3.01 million) was undercut in the 19th edition with 0.43 million viewers.
