Marlene Lufen
Marlene Lufen (* 18th December 1970 in West Berlin as Marlene Franz ) is a German television presenter .
life and career
After graduating from the Carl-Friedrich-von-Siemens-Gymnasium in Berlin-Siemensstadt , Marlene Lufen studied journalism and Spanish at the Free University of Berlin . In 1995 she went to the USA for a six month internship. As part of this internship, she visited the newsroom of the television station ABC in San Francisco . Then she worked on the Sat.1 file . In 1996 she won an ARD journalist competition and reported as a young reporter from the Olympic Games in Atlanta .
Lufen has hosted Sat.1 breakfast television since 1997 . In the video for Stefan Raab's Eurovision Song Contest entry Wadde hadde dudde da? from 2000, Lufen plays the TV announcer. After a baby break in 2000, she switched to public television for a few years and from 2001 to 2007 presented the regional program WDRpunkt Köln for WDR television .
On January 2, 2006, Lufen returned to Sat.1 breakfast television and initially moderated the program Monday to Friday between 5:30 and 8:00 a.m. together with Jan Hahn . From May 5, 2007 Lufen moderated the Sat.1 breakfast television on Saturday. Your moderation partner was Torgen Schneider in the first two editions , after which Hahn took his place. The broadcast on Saturday was discontinued on July 21, 2007 due to poor ratings. Since July 2006 she has been one of four main presenters on Sat.1 breakfast television . Since 2018 she has moderated the Sat.1 reality show Promi Big Brother together with Jochen Schropp . In addition, she has been moderating Dancing on Ice together with Daniel Boschmann since January 2019 .
Private life
Marlene Lufen was a competitive swimmer at the Berliner Sport-Club in her youth . Later she played theater and founded her own theater group. Lufen with sports journalist and since 1997 sports show presenter Claus Lufen married. They have a son and a daughter together. In 2019 the couple separated.
Controversy
On February 20, 2019, Marlene Lufen caused a sensation on Sat.1 breakfast television when she publicly asked her studio guest, who does not provide maintenance for the mother of his 12 and 14 year old children, “whether he admits being an asshole ". Sat.1 stood behind Lufen.
