Claus Lufen

Claus Lufen (born November 4, 1966 in Orsoy , today a district of Rheinberg ) is a German television presenter and sports reporter .

Career

After graduating from high school, Lufen studied sports science with a focus on sports journalism at the German Sport University Cologne . He finished his studies as a certified sports teacher . He also studied German at the University of Cologne . During this time he worked as a student assistant at the Institute for Sports Journalism at the German Sport University.

Work as a moderator

In 1985 he joined the Neue Ruhr Zeitung as a freelancer . He stayed there until he switched to WDR in 1992 as a freelancer. He moderates the DTM , Olympic Games and soccer world championships . He is also the presenter of the Sportschau , Sportschau live and League 3 - Football as well as a commentator and reporter.

Private

Lufen is married to the TV presenter Marlene Lufen , has two children and lives in Cologne-Lövenich . In 2020, his wife announced the separation from him.
