Jan Hahn
Jan Hahn (born September 22, 1973 in Leipzig ; † May 4, 2021 in Cologne ) was a German radio and television presenter and actor .
Life
After graduating from high school , he completed his community service in Berlin and then studied communication , media and theater studies at the University of Leipzig from 1994 to 1997 . During his studies he worked at Uniradio Mephisto 97.6 as head of department , music editor and as a tutor for radio.
In 1996 Hahn presented nrj drivetime and worked off-air as head of music at Energy Sachsen until he switched to the public service MDR Sputnik in 1997 . There he worked as a presenter and author of the morning show Fat Awakened - Jan Hahn's New Tomorrow, and in 2004 he presented together with Alex Huth The Sputnik Night with Hahn and Huth .
He had his first television experience in 2001 for the MDR with the program Let's Dance as an outdoor presenter. In 2002 he returned to the radio: he presented the Jan Hahn Show on the Berlin station Energy 103.4 . For smaller TV presenters such as the surprise box with SAM on ProSieben 2003 he received his own television format MDR Greetings from ... . In 2005 he switched to Sat.1 and moderated the fight for your wife there .
From 2005 to 2016 Hahn was a permanent member of the Sat.1 breakfast television team . In September 2006 he hosted the finale of Verliebt in Berlin , the VIB-die Show and VIB-die Stars together with Mareile Höppner . In September 2006 he broadcast for the MDR Goldene Henne Advance and Henne After . In March 2010 and 2011 he appeared as a competitor at the TV total Wok World Cup .
He has a short guest appearance in the video for the song Altogether Ooky by the Bloodhound Gang . In September 2010 Hahn made a guest appearance in the telenovela Anna und die Liebe for two episodes . In 2011 he played a police superintendent in the episode Love in Need of the television series The Last Bull . In September 2012, he also acted as moderator for the now discontinued Push - Das Sat.1-Magazin . In September 2012 he moderated the presentation of the Clean Tech Media Award .
In 2016 he published the guide My Sixpack Challenge together with Felix Bauer . From October 2016 he led RTLplus through the re-launch of the wheel of fortune , which ran until December 2017. He also presented Guten Morgen Deutschland on RTL from January 2017 .
He was in a relationship with the presenter Mirjam Weichselbraun from 2007 to 2011 after he and his long-time friend Alissa Jung broke up in autumn 2006. He had two children with Jung. He had a third child, who was born in May 2019, with his last partner.
Jan Hahn died at the age of 47 on May 4, 2021 “after a short, serious cancer”.
