Riccardo Simonetti (born  February 16, 1993 in Bad Reichenhall ) is a German entertainer , presenter , author , model , actor and columnist .

Life

Simonetti grew up in Bad Reichenhall and realized at the age of four that he was different and that he was interested in feminine things. He was an acolyte and attended a Christian private school. Later outed himself as gay and fighting since then for tolerance. At the age of 14 he hosted his own radio show and regularly stood in front of television cameras and microphones. After various radio reports, the first articles for the local press were created. After his theater debut at the age of four, he received regular acting lessons and at the age of 16 played in the youth ensemble of the Salzburg State Theater .

After graduating from high school and moving to Munich, jobs at E! Entertainment Television , Bayerischer Rundfunk and InStyle magazine . In 2011 he founded the blog The Fabulous life of Ricci , on which he reported on fashion trends, events and travel and also took up socially critical topics. He took his blog offline in 2019. He is one of the most successful male influencers in Germany.

Simonetti lives in Berlin and works as a model, actor, author and presenter. He moderated the Place To B Award and the German Blogger Award and acted as host and reporter for the About You Award and the best brands Awards. He was in the TV shows Promi Shopping Queen , Galileo , red. , Sat.1 breakfast television and Genial Beside can be seen and guest on talk shows such as 3nach9 and Kölner Treff and moderated the ZDF television garden together with Andrea Kiewel 2020 . In 2014 he ran the documentary My Right to Sparkle on EinsPlus , and in 2017 the report Ricci Superstar on 3sat .

Simonetti's own program Riccardo's Dream Date has been running on E! Entertainment .

Simonetti dubbed HeLectrix for the film The Incredibles 2 . In 2018, Simonetti played in the music video Walk me out of sight of Wolfgang Petry as the younger Wolfgang Petry.

In 2018 his autobiographical book My Right to Sparkle was published. Simonetti's second book Raffi und seine pinkes Tutu (2019) is a children's book on the subject of tolerance and otherness.

Simonetti has been campaign ambassador for the Youth Against AIDS association since 2017 , and has been an ambassador for DKMSlife since 2018 .
