InStyle is an international women's magazine that mainly deals with the topics of fashion and lifestyle . The German edition is published monthly by Hubert Burda Media . The sold circulation is 200,947 copies, an increase of 30.1 percent since 1999.
history
The first edition of InStyle appeared in 1994 in the USA as the first licensed edition of the Time Inc. publishing house . Hubert Burda Media started InStyle in 1999 in Germany under the chief editor of Patricia Riekel and the management of Philipp Welte . The changeover to a monthly publication followed later. Since 2006, the Instyle Beauty magazine has also been published twice a year . In 2008, InStyle awarded the “Viper” fashion and style prize at the Berlinale. Instyle lost 15.8% of the ad pages from 2008 to 2009. In 2010 InStyle Men appeared for the first time as a male counterpart.
Annette Weber was editor-in-chief of InStyle from 2007 to 2015 . Kerstin Weng succeeded her in February 2016 .
