wellenreiter.tv was an owner-managed television production company based in Cologne, which was founded in 1996 and existed as an independent company until 2017. The company recently had around 50 permanent employees and was managed by the two founders and owners Arne Merten and Alessandro Nasini . wellenreiter.tv produced shows, factual entertainment, documentaries and reports for all German television stations and was a member of the "Alliance of German Producers".

On July 1, 2017, the production companies Bavaria Entertainment GmbH and wellenreiter.tv GmbH merged their businesses. Since then, it has been marketed as Bavaria Entertainment . The joint company is still based in Cologne.
