The DIQP German Institute for Quality Standards and Testing eV (DIQP) is dedicated to the development of various quality seals and seals of approval in order to give consumers better orientation and to create reliable seals, seals of quality and certificates. The work of the institute should focus on the benefit for consumers , the promotion of the quality concept and the generation of new standards. The DIQP is supported by trading companies and funded by manufacturers of consumer and capital goods.

history

The DIQP was founded in 2014 and has been led and represented by its President Jascha Aust since 2017. Legal representation is carried out by the managing director Monika Monegel. The board is supported by a scientific advisory board. The advisory board consists of the chairwoman Astrid Nelke, lawyer Jascha Aust, Stefan Kissinger and Ulrich Kross.

activity

The association differs from other seal givers in that it does not itself offer any seals for sale. The seal is awarded according to a 4-pillar model developed by DIQP. This 4-pillar model consists of external companies (management consultants) advising the companies to be certified and preparing the actual certification. The application for certification is then checked by an independent certification company. After a positive test, the certification company makes a recommendation to the DIQP to award a quality seal. As a further independent institution, the DIQP then awards the requested seal of approval.

As a result, the label provider (DIQP), label holder (company), management consultant and certification company (Qualitycert) are largely independent of each other, both legally and economically. This separation should reduce conflicts of interest and contribute to a higher quality certification.

The quality seals "Tested Service Quality (DIQP)" and "Top Apprenticeship Company (DIQP)" were described as "Particularly recommended" by the Label-Online portal of the consumer initiative . In the area of service quality, no other label in Germany has the distinction "particularly recommendable".
