Thorsten Schorn (born April 2, 1976 in Cologne ) is a German radio and television presenter .

From 1997 to 1999 Schorn completed his traineeship at Radio Neandertal in Mettmann , where he moderated the early morning program until 2000. From 1999 to 2003 he was also the morning presenter at hr XXL , the former youth program of the Hessischer Rundfunk . From 2001 to May 19, 2017, Schorn was a presenter at 1 Live . In alternation with Ingmar Stadelmann , he last moderated the morning route from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday. Occasionally he also presented the now discontinued soccer program 1LIVE Elfer on Monday evenings . Every spring he moderated the final round of the 1LIVE school duel . With this format, Schorn was nominated for the German Radio Prize 2013. In 2015 he was honored there in the category Best Presenter . In January 2014 he came out on 1LIVE with the words "I'm Thorsten Schorn and I'm gay and bye."

Since June 6, 2017, he has been moderating the afternoon at WDR 2 .

Schorn gained his first experience in television productions as a warm-upper , most recently in Wer wird Millionär? where he still appears today as a reporter in the surprise specials. Since 2005, Schorn has been a regular outside reporter on the shows Zimmer frei! and stern TV , where he hosted Günther Jauch's farewell program on January 5, 2011. As early as 2006, the Koch robbery created his own format from his bell actions .

Schorn has Saturday evening experience as a moderator of the RTL show Who thinks something like that? can collect. He was the quiz master for ARD in the first season of Die Beste Klasse Deutschlands . Together with his radio colleague Sabine Heinrich , he presented the daily late-night format Schorn und Heinrich in the 2006 WDR summer program . For VOX , Schorn has presented the program Help, my husband is a do-it-yourselfer since 2010 . and who is (s) t better? . At the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest final in Düsseldorf he was a reporter for the daily magazine on ARD-Vorabend, appeared as an ESC expert at Phoenix and hosted several special programs for Hessischer Rundfunk together with Tim Frühling .

Schorn is the off-speaker for the VOX styling documentary Shopping Queen and its celebrity editions, which was awarded the German TV Prize . From 2013 to 2015 he moderated the RTL program Not with us! Together with Janine Steeger . . In the television series Pastewka , Verbotene Liebe and Countdown - The hunt begins , Schorn was part of the radio voice. Together with Anja Backhaus , Schorn played as a radio presenter in a commercial for Kraft .

On December 6, 2015, he hosted the first live broadcast on Lindenstrasse , episode 1559, on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the series.

On March 13, 2016, Schorn hosted the broadcast of the rescheduled Rose Monday parade in Düsseldorf on WDR.

In 2017 he was on RTLplus as a co-presenter in the new edition of The price is hot next to Wolfram Kons .

Since August 2018 he has been the director of the Saturday evening show at RTL because they don't know what happens , in which Günther Jauch , Thomas Gottschalk and Barbara Schöneberger always randomly find out who is moderating the program and which remaining moderators are playing against prominent guests in various games.
