Wolfram Maria Kons (born June 7, 1964 in Düsseldorf ) is a German journalist and television presenter .

life and career

Wolfram Kons, who has three brothers, spent his childhood in Neuss - Selikum . After graduating from high school at Alexander-von-Humboldt-Gymnasium Neuss, he completed a law degree and a journalistic traineeship at Radio Gong 96.3 in Munich . From 1983 he was a reporter and from 1987 a presenter on various radio stations . He has been working for RTL since 1991 . There he presented the RTL early morning magazine Guten Morgen Deutschland in Cologne and was an author at WDR . He has also been producing travel reports for Die Welt since 1993 .

In between, Kons moderated the political magazine Standpunkte on DW-TV and the program Werbetrommel for RTL II . From 1994 he was a moderator and senior editor at RTL morning magazine Punkt 7 , successor to Guten Morgen Deutschland. Since 1997 he has presented the RTL program Punkt 6 and since 2000 also Punkt 9 , which were renamed Guten Morgen Deutschland again in 2013 .

In addition, Kons has been moderating the 24-hour RTL donation marathon since 1996 . Together with Ulrich Potofski , he also commented on the RTL program Domino Day from 1998 to 2009 . For his commitment to charity broadcasts on German television, he was in 2004 by the then Federal President Horst Köhler with the Medal of Merit of the Federal Order of Merit awarded. In 2005 he became director of communications at RTL and took over the overall management of the RTL Charity and RTL Foundation . From May 5, 2008 he also moderated the quiz show 1 gegen 100 , which was broadcast on RTL from Monday to Friday at 5:00 p.m. until it was discontinued after 79 episodes. In December 2013 he moderated four programs of the Sunday magazine sonntags.live together with Ann-Katrin Schröder .

In 2012 Kons dubbed “Gupta” in the film Ice Age 4 - Fully Moved the Badger.

Since October 9, 2017, Wolfram Kons has been moderating the new edition of The price is hot , which will be broadcast on RTLplus .

Kons was in a relationship with Maxi Biewer until 1996 and with Berlin fashion agent Angela van Moll for eleven years from 1999 until the end of 2010. Since August 2012 he has been married to the art historian Alexa Apermann (* 1978), who gave birth to a son on June 28, 2012. The family lives in the Reuschenberg district of Neuss .
