watch TV
Henssler's career as a television chef began in 2004 on NDR television with a few guest appearances alongside Rainer Sass . From 2006 onwards, the NDR produced two seasons of Henssler's kitchen in which he presented his recipes inspired by Japanese and Californian cuisine.
In 2007, VOX secured Henssler's services. From August 27, 2007, he presented his cooking program Ganz & Gar Henssler on the slot for the successful cooking program Tim Mälzers , Doesn't taste like it doesn't exist . Henssler, who had been recommended by Mälzer, appeared in the last broadcasts of the previous format. VOX broadcast Henssler's cooking show on weekdays with interruptions until November 23, 2007.
From January 2008 to August 2010, Henssler was a permanent member of the cooking show Die Küchenschlacht on ZDF . As a guest chef, he was also repeatedly on the ZDF show Lanz kocht! to see. In 2014, Henssler switched to RTL. There he took over the program Der Restauranttester from Christian Rach . Furthermore, RTL has been broadcasting the Henssler cooking show behind bars since July 2014 . This led to controversies, reports and discussions in the run-up to the broadcast. The LKA Lower Saxony and the victim protection association Weißer Ring criticized the program because, among other things, one of the convicted criminals of the sevenfold murder in Sittensen (2007) appeared as a candidate on the show and thus the perpetrators were given a public platform.
From September 2017 to September 2018, Henssler was on the Munich private broadcaster ProSieben in the Saturday evening show Schlag den Henssler , which was previously broadcast at regular intervals under the name Schlag den Raab or Schlag den Star .
