Henssler's Countdown - Cooking at the Limit is a cooking show on the TV channel RTL .

The program was first broadcast in February 2020 and is moderated by TV chef Steffen Henssler .
In the show, three candidates compete in a cooking duel per episode. Above all, their talent for improvisation is in demand, as they have to prepare a dish within 25 minutes. During the entire cooking time, the candidates have to get by with a handicap . For example, they can only use one hand for cooking or they cook with larger cooking utensils.
The program is also about knowledge and the chance to increase the money in your account or to take it with you at the end of each episode. In each episode, the hobby chefs start with 2,500 euros. Henssler asks the candidate two quiz questions about cooking, which means that the candidate continues to fill his account if the answer is correct.
The juror is chef Christian Lohse , who evaluates the dishes in each episode and thus chooses the winner. The winner of each episode is allowed to keep the prize money earned and is automatically included in the next episode to compete against two new opponents.
Freeze card
During the entire time - up to max. 5 minutes before the expiry - the candidates can draw a so-called freeze card. This means that an opponent is “frozen” for three minutes after his election and the candidate thus has an advantage. This card cannot be used during question and answer sessions.
