Christian Lohse

Christian Lohse (born May 5, 1967 in Bad Oeynhausen ) is a German chef . He cooks on the basis of classic French cuisine .

Life

After graduating from high school , Christian Lohse trained as a chef in France . His first teacher was Jean-Pierre Billoux in Dijon . He then worked in various restaurants such as Charles Barrier in Tours and The Dorchester in London. There the Sultan of Brunei hired him as a private chef.

In 1994 he opened his own restaurant Windmühle in his hometown Lohe , a district of Bad Oeynhausen. It was awarded two Michelin stars and 18 Gault Millau points . The restaurant ended up bankrupt. From 2003 to 2004 he was head chef at the Regent Schlosshotel, later the Schlosshotel in Grunewald (with a Michelin star from autumn 2003).

Lohse was head chef in the restaurant of the 5-star Hotel Regent Berlin on Berlin's Gendarmenmarkt from 2004 to the end of 2017 . In the beginning he worked closely with Yves Mattagne . Since 2008, the Fischers Fritz restaurant he runs has been awarded two Michelin stars. From 2007 to 2011 he created the menu for the Berlin Palace by Hans-Peter Wodarz . He continues to work as a consultant on gastronomic issues for the Friedrichstadtpalast .

In 2013 and 2014 he was a guest judge on the Sat.1 chef casting show The Taste . In 2015 he stood in front of the camera with Holger Bodendorf and Christian Jürgens as a member of the jury at the TV cooking competition Game of Chefs at VOX . In 2016 and 2017 he took part in the VOX show Kitchen Impossible as Tim Mälzer and Roland Trettl's opponent in cooking . Lohse is a juror on the ZDF show Die Küchenschlacht and has also been the presenter of this program since January 2017. He also works in the cooking programs Kerners Köche on ZDF and Grill den Henssler on VOX. Since 2017 he has been running an online grocery store and accessories ( Lohse Kost ). In September 2017, Lohse was a juror for The Taste's celebrity special . In 2017 he was a professional chef in one episode of the cooking show Grill die Profi . In 2018 he worked on several episodes of the ZDF program Stadt, Land, Lecker .

At the end of 2017, Lohse left the Fischers Fritz restaurant , which was reopened in 2018 as Charlotte & Fritz .

Since February 2020 he has been a juror in the program Henssler's Countdown on RTL.
