Regent International Hotels ( Regent Hotels & Resorts ) is a Taiwanese hotel chain .
history
In 1970 Regent was founded as an American company by Robert H. Burns together with the Japanese company Japan's Tokyu Group . Until 2010 it was a subsidiary of Carlson Companies .
In 2010, the Taiwanese hotel chain Formosa International Hotels bought the company. Regent operates hotels in Beijing , Taipei , Singapore , Berlin and Montenegro .
Regent Berlin
In 2004 the five-star Hotel Regent Berlin was created on Gendarmenmarkt through the purchase of the hotel, which was built and operated by Four Seasons in 1996 . From 2005 to 2017 included that of Christian Lohse led two star - restaurant Fischers Fritz . Hotel director has been Stefan Athmann since 2009; since 2015 he has also been heading the Regent Hotels in Europe.
