Kitchen Impossible is a cooking show on VOX TV .

Two prominent star or TV chefs compete against each other in the show. The aim is to cook a local specialty from a local top chef, rarely a hobby chef, in two countries, without knowing the complete list of ingredients. Regular guests, friends or family members of the local chef are then asked to rate how close the taste of the cooked dish comes to the original. The chef with the overall better rating wins the duel. In most of the episodes, TV chef Tim Mälzer was set as one of the duelists.

The Christmas Edition (2019) 1 15th December 2019 -

The show was first broadcast on December 23, 2014 and achieved poor audience ratings. However, the broadcaster believed in the show's potential, which is why the pilot episode was re-broadcast on March 1, 2015. It convinced there with market shares above that of the first broadcast, which is why a season with six more episodes was ordered. These episodes were seen since February 7, 2016 and were repeated in the summer of 2016. In season 1 as well as in the pilot episode, the television chef Tim Mälzer was always set as one of the duelists. In fact, this is only the case again from season 4.

On February 29, 2016, a second season of the show was ordered. Mälzer was not involved in all episodes and was represented in individual episodes by Tim Raue or Roland Trettl . The broadcast took place since January 29, 2017. Here, too, a repetition took place in the summer of the same year, but it was not broadcast in the original order.

At the beginning of March 2017, VOX ordered a third season. For the time between the second and third season, a "Christmas Edition" was produced, which was broadcast in December 2017. The eight-episode third season ran from February 4, 2018 to March 25, 2018. In season 3, Mälzer competes in all but one of all duels. The episode in which he does not participate is material that was originally shot for season 2, but was not previously broadcast.

The extension by a 4th season, before which a Christmas special was broadcast again, was announced after the 3rd season. The repetition of the 3rd season began on October 7, 2018, with repetitions on Sunday instead of Monday evening for the first time. As with season 2, the repeats were broadcast in a different order, starting with the duel with Mario Lohninger , but for the first time also mixed with episodes from previous seasons, including the pilot episode, on which Mälzer together with Tim Raue four years after their production, in new looked back at the rotated material. However, this meant that not all episodes of season 3 were shown again. For the pre-Christmas period in 2017 and 2018, a so-called "Christmas Edition" was also filmed.

The fourth season of the show was broadcast from February 3, 2019 to March 17, 2019, followed by a repetition of season 3 in the following week. From this season the episodes were available for the first time in the week before the TV broadcast on TVNOW . Also in the summer of 2019, repeats from different seasons were in the program on Monday evening. In November 2019 it was announced that the start of a new season would be brought forward to December of a year for the first time, and that for the first time two seasons with new episodes could be seen within one year. The broadcast of this took place on December 2nd and 8th, 2019, followed by the 3rd Christmas edition on the following Sunday. The season was continued from February 9, 2020 to March 29, 2020, followed by the repetition of the episode with Max Stiegl from season 4, another broadcast of the episode with Nenad Mlinarevic from December 2019 and three best-of- Consequences.

Season 4

The episodes of the fourth season were broadcast from February 3, 2019. For the first time, the episodes were available on TVNOW in the week before they were broadcast . In fact, it was the first season since the first in which Tim Mälzer was the duelist in all episodes (in fact, since the duel between Roland Trettl and Peter Maria Schnurr that was filmed for season 2 was only broadcast in season 3). Ali Güngörmüş , Lukas Mraz and Max Stiegl were named as opponents of Mälzer , as well as Max Strohe and again Tim Raue . In addition, Klaus Erfort and Tanja Grandits were announced as opponents. Ex-contender The Duc Ngo from season 3 was seen again. While Mälzer sent him to Max Stiegl in the episode at that time, it was now the latter who had to master his challenge with this one.

Season 5

Steffen Henssler

One day after broadcasting the final episode of the 4th season, VOX announced that the show would be extended by a 5th season. In May 2019, Steffen Henssler was confirmed as Mälzer's competitor. In November 2019 it was announced that the start of a season would be brought forward to December of a year for the first time. This was the first time that two seasons with new episodes could be seen within one year. Mälzer's duel with Peter Maria Schnurr , who had previously been seen as Roland Trettl's duelist in season 3, as well as in the 2nd Christmas edition (2018), was announced. In addition, Mälzer duels with Nenad Mlinarevic , who, as u. a. Lukas Mraz and Max Stiegl , previously seen in Mälzer's short-lived show Knife Fight Club in 2018 . This will be broadcast on December 1st and 8th, 2019, followed by the 3rd Christmas edition on the following Sunday. In addition, there was an obligatory duel between Mälzer and Tim Raue , and they were presented with their common goal by Trettl for the first time as part of the Christmas Edition 2019 : they would both cook one and the same dish in Austria for one and the same jury. This and the rest of the episodes of the season have been seen since February 9, 2020. In them, Mälzer also measures himself against Franz Keller , Haya Molcho , Jan Hartwig , Christoph Kunz , Martin Klein and again Max Strohe , who was already an opponent of Mälzer in the previous season. Molcho had also been seen in the previous season, where Mälzer was challenged by Tanja Grandits .

The Christmas Edition (2019)

As in previous years, a Christmas edition was also on view in 2019. For the first time, Mälzer and Tim Raue did not compete in a team, but against each other. Mälzer was supported by Mario Lohninger , Raue by Roland Trettl . The broadcast took place on December 15, 2019. As in previous years, there was also cooking during the broadcast. Lohninger served a Canadian lobster poutine, Mälzer a cheese meat loaf and cabbage salad, Trettl shallots in hay salt batter with mountain cheese stock, Tim Raue Calpico Mousse with passion fruit, mango and lime. In addition, Mälzer and Raue received a black box from Trettl for their duel in season 5: in this, Mälzer and Raue compete against each other in one and the same location in Austria and independently cook the same dish for the same jury.
