Tanja Grandits

Tanja Grandits (* 1970 in Albstadt ) is a German cook.

Career

After high school and cooking apprenticeship at Traube Tonbach with Harald Wohlfahrt in Baiersbronn , she went to Claridge’s restaurant in London . She then moved to the Château de Montcaud in Bagnols-sur-Cèze in the south of France .

In 2001, Grandits opened her own restaurant Thurtal in Eschikofen , Switzerland, with her future husband René Graf . In 2006 she was awarded "Cook of the Year" by Gault Millau and with 16 points.

Grandits has been the head of the Stucki restaurant in Basel since 2008 , named after Hans Stucki who used to work here . There she stages her dishes with colors and spices and was awarded two stars in the Michelin Guide . In 2013 and 2019 she received the Gault Millau award "Chef of the year 2014" and "Chef of the year 2020".

In 2018 Grandits published her sixth book. She also runs a small delicatessen shop with her own products.

Television appearances

In 2014 she was a guest judge on an episode of the Sat.1 casting show The Taste . In spring 2019, she was seen as Tim Mälzer's duelist in the fourth season of the VOX cooking show Kitchen Impossible .
