Jan Hartwig

Jan Hartwig (born September 29, 1982 in Helmstedt ) is a German chef .

Career

After training in Braunschweig from 2000 , he cooked in the officers' mess Achum in 2003 and at Pomp Duck and Circumstance from 2004 . In 2005 he moved to the two-star restaurant Kastell with Christian Jürgens in Wernberg-Köblitz .

This was followed by three positions in three-star restaurants: from 2006 in the Erfort guest house with Klaus Erfort in Saarbrücken , from 2007 in the Aqua restaurant with Sven Elverfeld in Wolfsburg , where he was sous- chef from 2009 .

In May 2014 he became head chef of the two restaurants Atelier and Garden in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich . The Atelier restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars in 2015 and three in 2017 .

At the final of The Taste 2018, Jan Hartwig was one of the two guest jurors alongside Harald Wohlfahrt .
