Marco Müller (born April 9, 1970 in Babelsberg ) is a German chef . His restaurant Rutz is the first Berlin restaurant with three Michelin stars .

Career

After completing his training in Potsdam from 1986 to 1988 , Müller cooked in Berlin for many years ; In 1990 he went to the Schlosshotel Gerhus in Berlin-Grunewald and in 1991 to the Kempinskigrill restaurant in the Kempinski Hotel Bristol Berlin . In 1993 he moved to the Huguenot in the Hotel InterContinental and in 1994 to the Grand Slam under Johannes King in Berlin-Grunewald. In 1996 he became Sous Chef in the Old Customs House , in 1997 Sous Chef in the Imperial in the Schlosshotel Bühlerhöhe . In 1999 he became head chef at the Harlekin in Berlin at the Grand Hotel Esplanade , and in 2003 at the Windspiel at the Hotel Schloss Hubertushöhe in Storkow .

Since 2004 he has been head chef at the Rutz - Restaurant & Weinbar in Berlin. The restaurant was awarded the first Michelin star in 2007 and the second in 2016. In 2020 the Rutz restaurant was awarded three Michelin stars.

In 2011 he took over the program Simply cook at Radio Eins of the RBB .
