Romy award 2017
The Romy Awards 2017 took place on April 22, 2017 in the Vienna Hofburg . The award of the Austrian television and film prize Romy , organized by the daily newspaper Kurier , took place for the 28th time and was broadcast for the 27th time by ORF . As in the previous year, the event was moderated by Andi Knoll and Katharina Straßer .

The nominations for the public vote were announced on March 13, 2017. The preselection was made by a jury of specialist journalists, consisting of Rudolf John (jury chairman of the Academy Awards), Julia Pühringer (Tele, Skip), Angelika Hager (profile), Frido Hütter (Kleine Zeitung), Horst-Günther Fiedler (TV-Media), Johannes Bruckenberger (APA), Christoph Hirschmann (daily newspaper Austria), Dietmar Pribil (Kurier-TV) and Christoph Silber (Kurier, jury chairman audience awards).
