Sophie Stockinger (* 1997 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress .

Life

Sophie Stockinger attended the Wasagasse grammar school in the 9th district of Alsergrund in Vienna . In 2016 she passed the Matura . From 2008 to 2012 she was a member of the children's ensemble good roaring , in the playing seasons 2012/13 and 2013/14 she was a member of the theater club of the Junge Burg at the Vienna Burgtheater , from 2013 to 2015 she was a member of the boys ensemble Hörbiger ( jöh! ) Von Maresa Hörbiger , with whom she appeared on stage at the StadtTheater walfischgasse in Romeo and Juliet . Since September 2018 she has been studying drama at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

She made her film debut in 2013 in Talea by director Katharina Mückstein , where she played the leading female role alongside Nina Proll . The film was awarded the Saarland Prime Minister's film prize at the Max Ophüls Prize film festival . In 2016, she played the role of the 14-year-old Jewish girl Betty Liebling in the ORF / ARD television film Die Kinder der Villa Emma , again alongside Nina Proll. In 2016 she also appeared in front of the camera as Anni Sacher for the ORF / ZDF television two-part series about the Hotel Sacher , as well as for the filming of the film L'Animale , directed by Katharina Mückstein, in which she once again played the leading role. The film was invited to the Panorama section of the Berlinale 2018 , for its portrayal of Mati it was nominated for the Austrian Film Prize in the category Best Female Leading Role in 2019 and was awarded a Romy for Best Young Female .

In February 2018 she premiered at the Bronski & Grünberg theater as Agnes in Kleist - the Schroffenstein family at the side of Simon Morzé as Ottokar. In the television series Walking on Sunshine (2019) she embodied the role of Franziska Czerny-Hohenburg, daughter of the presenter Otto Czerny-Hohenburg, played by Robert Palfrader .
