Walking on Sunshine is an Austrian television series that has been shown on ORF 1 since January 7, 2019 .

The series takes place in the ORF weather department . The focus is on the former time in the picture - anchor man Otto, who is being transferred to the weather department after an alcohol addiction and four years off. The series tells of the ups and downs of life - in human and meteorological terms.

The series is produced by Dor Film . The shooting for the first season took place between November and December 2017 and from March to August 2018 in Vienna and the surrounding area as well as Lower Austria and Burgenland.

At the end of February 2019, ORF-eins channel manager Lisa Totzauer announced that a second season had been commissioned. Filming is scheduled to start in May 2019.
