Martin Niedermair (* 1972 in Steyr , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian actor and singer .

Life

Martin Niedermair was trained at the Vienna Conservatory from 1993 to 1996 . In the 1999/2000 and 2001/02 seasons he was a member of the ensemble at the Simpl cabaret , where he performed with the programs Wurzel aus 2001 and Bla.Bla.Bla. stood on the stage. From 2004 to 2008 he could be seen at the Schauspielhaus Wien as Ottone in Poppea , as Coppelius, Dappertutto and Mirakel in Hoffmanns Erzählungen , as Felix / Bassa Selim in Saray / Mozart alla turca and with the one-person play Das verräterische Herz ( The Tell Tale Heart ) . With this monologue he also appeared in Melbourne and Sydney, at the Berliner Ensemble and at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007/08 and was nominated for the Green Room Award and the Helpman Award for best male actor for his performance .

Since 2008 he has been engaged at the Theater in der Josefstadt and the Kammerspiele der Josefstadt , where he plays the role of Sigismund Sülzheimer in the White Horse , Joe in the stage version of Some like it hot , Lord Darlington in Lady Windermeres fan , Christopher Wren in the Mousetrap , Mortimer Brewster in arsenic and lace, and Moricet in How to Hunt Rabbits, embodied by Georges Feydeau . Guest performances have led him to, among others, the Stadttheater Klagenfurt , the Bühne Baden , the Graz Opera and the Vienna Volksoper , where he made his debut as Rolf Gruber in Sound of Music . In 2014 he could be seen as State Secretary Doringer in the television series CopStories , in 2016 he was in front of the camera for the shooting of the Tatort episode Virus , directed by Barbara Eder .

Since the 18th and 19th seasons of the TV series SOKO Kitzbühel he has played the role of Patrick, the friend of investigator Nina Pokorny.
