Ines Honsel

Ines Honsel (* 1975 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian actress and storyteller.

Live and act

Ines Honsel grew up in Köttmannsdorf and initially studied African studies and philosophy in Vienna. From 1997 she studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar , graduating in 2001 with a diploma. At the University of the Arts in Berlin , she attended the master's degree in theater education from 2004 , where she also learned the art of storytelling and which she completed in 2006 as a Master of Arts.

From 2007 to 2009 she was engaged at the St. Gallen Theater, where she could be seen in the Talisman as Constantia, as Ivy in the stage version of Homo faber , as Sandra in The Kiss of Kohaku and as Jenny in The Measure of Things . In 2009/10 she headed the KASCHLUPP children's and youth stage! at the Landestheater Detmold .

She has lived in Munich since 2011 , where she has been seen at TamS since then . Together with director Oliver Haffner, she founded the community art project Die Sendlinger in 2012 . In 2014 she also initiated the Gute Stube storytelling festival, which focuses on the oral art of storytelling and which she has been leading together with Gabi Altenbach since 2016. In 2017 they also jointly founded the Compagnie Altenbach + Honsel.

In 2015 she had a leading role in the ORF country thriller If you knew how beautiful it is here , she also played the role of Madame Chanel in the stage version of The Eight Women in the comedy play Porcia and directed the play The Little Prince . In 2018, she was in front of the camera for the fourth season of the TV series Vorstadtweiber , in which she played the role of the biochemist Sonia Clementi, illegitimate daughter of the pharmaceutical company boss Gabriel Morena.

In 2014/15 she taught Introduction to Drama Education at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna .

Ines Honsel is a member of the Association of Storytellers (VEE) and the Federal Drama Association (BFFS).
