Reviews

Rainer Tittelbach from Tittelbach.tv wrote: “For the fifth time, [the filmmakers] in the ORF-ZDF crime series 'Traces of Evil' rely on their existentialist realism with the so typical decelerated narrative style and thus set another highlight for the TV crime thriller on. The setting for 'Liebe' is Vienna; the world of the 'hero' and his perspective are the measure of all things. Here everything fits together again: from the plot to the micro-gesture, from the subtext to the introverted soundscape of the score, from the subtle play of Heino Ferch to the minor key & the moving camera work, from subliminal abuse to color and light dramaturgy. "

The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm gave the best rating (thumbs up) and rated: “The fifth Brock thriller [...] also shows a Vienna far away from all the Sacher cake romance. The 'simple' story has philosophical depth: the garbage dump of the loner Brock, Willer's gloomy house with corpse and Steinmann's turquoise-colored pseudo-paradise 'Eden' also stand for their mental dungeons. Who can free themselves? ”Conclusion:“ Multi-layered, stylish: Sect crime without religion. ”
