Gerhard Liebmann (born April 20, 1970 in Graz ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Gerhard Liebmann studied German language and literature and philosophy at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz from 1989 to 1994 . He completed his training as an actor at the private drama school Barbara McEly in Vienna. Study visits to Berlin, Graz and Greece followed. From 1994 to 1996 he was a member of the ensemble of the Landestheater Linz and from 1997 to 2000 a member of the ensemble of the children and youth theater Next Liberty in Graz. Then Liebmann moved to the Schauspielhaus Graz , where he was seen in numerous guest roles from 2000 to 2012. At the same time, working in front of the camera became more important and Liebmann increasingly began to work in film and television productions. He made his debut in 1998 in the film adaptation of Josef Haslinger's novel Opernball . He became known to a wider audience in 2010 through the portrayal of the car dealer Gerry Dirschl in the comedy The unintentional kidnapping of Mrs. Elfriede Ott .
