action
Esther Nentwig, the illegitimate child of Gabriel Fischer-Hellwarth, a very rich and powerful entrepreneur and banker, is invited out of the blue to his birthday party. Almost the entire family does not give her a very warm welcome. While Gabriel tries to introduce Esther to her siblings in front of the assembled family, she discovers Adrian, the son of Marion Fischer-Hellwarth, Gabriel's youngest daughter, lying unconscious in the swimming pool in front of the villa. She saves his life, through which she at least gets sympathy from Marion. At the same time, Barbara Fischer-Hellwarth, daughter of Peter, Gabriel's eldest son, disappears without a trace and is found murdered a short time later. Inspector Keller, an old friend of the Fischer-Hellwarths, takes over the investigation. A hunt for the murderer begins, to whom several other family members fall victim, who are always determined according to the same astrological principle. It later turns out that Gabriel Fischer-Hellwarth murdered a friend from his youth over 50 years ago and hid his body under a tree. This tree is set on fire by the zodiac at night and the family and investigators find the skeleton. When Gabriel Fischer-Hellwarth found out about this, he died of a heart attack. In the end, it turns out that Peter Fischer-Hellwarth is not the real son of Gabriel Fischer-Hellwarth and Barbara Fischer-Hellwarth was the daughter of Gabriel Fischer-Hellwarth. Peter Fischer-Hellwarth is the horoscope killer and tries to kill Esther last. Inspector Keller finds her in time and can save her. Peter Fischer-Hellwarth is shot by him in self-defense. At the very end it is shown how Peter Fischer-Hellwarth killed Barbara and Marion.

Reviews
The lexicon of the international film judges: “ TV crime drama full of technical weaknesses, in which the usual love affairs, intrigues and slander as well as a number of secondary scenes only help with difficulty. No more than a calculated homage to gray mediocrity. "
