Bernhard Schir

Bernhard Schir (born January 24, 1963 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Schir found his first artistic home at the Vienna Theater in der Josefstadt , where he played numerous leading roles between 1992 and 1995. Since the early 1990s, Bernhard Schir has often worked for Austrian and German television.

In 1996 Schir took on the title role in the doctor series OP calls Dr. Bruckner . He had other television roles in Herzflimmern , Im Schatten des Führer , Denninger , Der Kranichmann and Der Admirer .
In 2004 he played the lead role in the comedy A twin is not enough alongside Ann-Kathrin Kramer . From autumn 2004 to 2006 he was seen alongside Sophie Schütt and Jochen Horst in the Sat.1 series Typisch Sophie . In 2011 he played in the romantic comedy Attention Doctor! again like a doctor in 1996. Since 2014 he has been part of the Austrian television series Vorstadtweiber in one of the leading roles as Hadrian “Hadi” Melzer (1st – 3rd season).

In 2007 Schir was awarded the Nestroy Theater Prize in the “Best Actor” category.

Until April 2008, Schir was in a relationship with the actress Suzan Anbeh , with whom he has a son. Currently (as of January 2018) he lives in Berlin.
