Toni Slama

Toni Slama (* 1948 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .

After a career with the Vienna Boys Choir , he successfully completed the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and afterwards was at Vienna's Burgtheater , at the National Theater Mannheim , the Schiller Theater (Berlin) , at the State Theater in Wiesbaden , the State Theater Stuttgart and at the Municipal Theater Frankfurtactive. He has also been a guest at the Reichenau Festival for several years. From 1996 to 2015 he was a member of the ensemble of the Theater in der Josefstadt and has been an honorary member of this theater since 2013. Since 2015 Toni Slama has also appeared in various productions at the Vienna Volksoper, such as "Countess Mariza", "Anatevka" and "Gypsy". In film and television, Slama held roles in various series, such as B. "Kommissar Rex", "Julia", "Zodiac", "Krupp", Götz Spielmann's " Revanche ", in Nikolaus Leitner's "Willkommen in Wien" and "Die Auslöschung".

From January 2020 Toni Slama will again play Herbie in the musical "Gypsy" and Prince Populescu in "Gräfin Mariza" at the Vienna Volksoper.

In 2004 he won the Nestroy Theater Prize for best actor in the role of Leopold Adam in "Automatenbüffet".

In 2019 he was awarded the professional title "Chamber Actor".
