Steven Sharp

Steven Scharf (* 1975 in the GDR ) is a German actor.

Life

Born and raised in Thuringia, Scharf studied acting at the Rostock University of Music and Drama from 1996 to 2000 . This was followed by engagements at the Theaterhaus Jena , the Kölner Schauspielhaus , the Theater Basel , where he worked with Barbara Frey , Sebastian Nübling and Lars-Ole Walburg , and the Theater Freiburg.

Scharf has been a member of the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble since the 2007/2008 season . There he appeared in Maria Braun's marriage , Tom Lanoye's Mamma Medea , Felicia Zeller's Kaspar Häuser Meer , as well as in Elfriede Jelinek's Rechnitz (Der Würgeengel) , which was awarded the Nestroy Theater Prize for best German-language performance in 2009.

Steven Scharf made his cinema debut in 2009 in Hans-Christian Schmid's political drama Sturm .

After the 2012/2013 season, he was voted theater actor of the year in the critics' poll of Theater heute .
