Awarding of the Nestroy Theater Prize 2019

The Nestroy Awards 2019 is the 20th awarding of the Nestroy Theater Prize and took place on November 24, 2019 in the Theater an der Wien . The moderators of the award ceremony were Maria Köstlinger , Florian Teichtmeister and Peter Fässlacher. The evening was musically accompanied by the orchestra of the United Stages Vienna under the direction of Herbert Pichler. The award ceremony was broadcast on ORF III . The winners of the categories Best Play - Author's Award and Lifetime Achievement were announced in advance on October 14, 2019, together with the nominations.

In 2019 the jury consists of the following people: Lothar Schreiner (chairman of the jury), Margarete Affenzeller, Karin Cerny, Wolfgang Huber-Lang, Peter Jarolin, Eva Maria Klinger , Wolfgang Kralicek and Petra Paterno.
