Ernst Kurt Weigel
Ernst Kurt Weigel (* 1970 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor , author and director .
Weigel first graduated from the Krauss drama school in Vienna. Then there were engagements in the Theater in der Josefstadt , performance work as a freelance actor and at the Serapionstheater . In 1997 he founded the Bernhard Ensemble together with Grischka Voss , for which he also wrote as an author and staged numerous pieces of his own and others.
In 2001 he received the Nestroy Theater Prize for HAIN . Since 2006 he has headed the city initiative and founded Das Off Theater (since then co-director).
In 2011 he developed the stage format "mash up". WEIT.WAY.LAND, WIENER.WALD.FICTION , THE.BIG.LUMPAZI , KZ.IMAGINAIRE , WELT.UNTER.MELANCHOLIA were nominated for the Nestroy .
